Salamanca Glocal Event

On October 16th, the University of Salamanca celebrated a Glocal Event with more than 40 people participating online and more than 80 people attending in person.

The main theme was “Languages that teach: teaching methods in a migration context. Kite: a cultural and linguistic ice-breaker”.

The event featured with professional and academics of different institutions:

  • Teresa Rodríguez Montes – Coordinator of the ALEIA Project (Linguistic Support for Adolescent International Students)..

  • David Arribas Alejandro – Lawyer, YMCA Salamanca.

  • Carmen González Gómez – Spanish Language Professor, USAL (presentation of the Kite project).

  • Ibolya Kurucz – Professor of German as a Foreign Language, University of Heidelberg (online contribution).

  • Liudmyla Artémova – Professor of Romance Philology, Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv (online contribution).

The event ended with a testimony of two refugees that shared their history and their journey learning spanish.

This event was celebrated as part of the Erasmus Days.
